At the end of June, the exhibition-conference “The Bright World of Metals” took place in Düsseldorf, bringing together a quartet of international trade fairs for the metallurgical industry: “Gifa”, “Metec”, “Thermprocess”, and “Newcast”. Companies from all over the world presented their technologies, equipment, and materials, thereby setting new trends in metallurgy. Over five days, the exhibition halls were visited by approximately 72,500 guests from 118 countries.

Inventum Ukraine“ has been attending “The Bright World of Metals” for several years. We could not miss such a major event in the metallurgical industry, so the company’s management traveled to Düsseldorf to study modern refractory materials for lining, explore advanced technologies in burner and heating equipment, as well as new recuperative air preheating systems for gas burners. Among the four exhibitions, particular attention was paid to “Thermprocess”, whose main focus aligned with our objectives.

During the exhibition, our management team held a number of meetings with long-term partners: “Luyang Unifrax Trading Company Limited”, “Morgan Advanced Materials”, “HASLE Refractories”, and “ECTP Refractories” from the EU, the USA, China, and other companies.

By attending “The Bright World of Metals”, we gained advanced knowledge of technologies for thermal equipment. We studied new air preheating technologies for recuperative systems: today, air temperatures can reach up to 800 °C, which is significantly higher than technologies currently used in Ukraine. The implementation of modern recuperative systems can substantially reduce gas consumption in thermal equipment.

Considerable attention was also paid to heating and burner equipment. We were particularly interested in the latest developments in recuperative and regenerative gas burners, as they also enable significant gas savings. The delegates of «Inventum Ukraine» became acquainted with hot repair technologies for thermal units, namely shotcreting with refractory concrete using machines equipped with a remotely controlled extendable nozzle. As for new refractory lining materials, our company uses advanced refractories from leading global manufacturers.
